These are various opportunities that parents are offered including working at home with their children, volunteering in the classroom, monthly meetings and family activity days.

Students who need to complete observation or practicum hours should apply for this. Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required for volunteering at SPIN Frankford.

The Early Years Speech and Language Therapy service works with others to enable children to communicate and interact successfully in daily life. The focus is to improve functional language and communication skills and promote a child's ability to access educational tasks.

An Special Education Early Childhood Education student who attends a College/University and is in the last semester of their teacher preperation program. This individual and works in a classroom with a cooperative teacher developing lesson plans, planning developmentally appopriate activities and assessments. The experience will allow future educators to apply pedagogical theory to classroom practice, while under the supervisor of a teacher mentor.

If you are a student who needs observation hours for a college course in Early Childhood (Pre-K) and/or Special Education, you will be able to observe in either program to complete university requirement.

Level I Fieldwork provides students with a view of occupational therapy practice while still completing academic coursework. The goals of Level I Fieldwork are to introduce students to the fieldwork experience, to apply knowledge to practice, and to develop understanding of the needs of clients

Early Childhood college students who practice skills learned in education classes to provide individual activities or engage with small group of students.

An Early Childhood Physical Therapist student who is studying how to utilize physical therapy in a pediatric setting. This student works on skills that prevent or overcome the effects of disease or injury for the client.

The goal of level II fieldwork is to develop competent, entry-level, generalist occupational therapists. Level II fieldwork must be integral to the program’s curriculum design and must include an in-depth experience in delivering evidence based occupational therapy services to clients.

High school student who need volunteer hours.

Intern alongside our Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Teaching Teams in an Early Childhood Education setting.  Provide a variety of educational, recreational and leisure activities in the classroom in an environment that is inclusive of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
